The PPORA is a fantastic organisation that brings together point-to-point jockeys, owners & supporters alike. As well as this, the PPORA strives to be a voice for our members, raising any concerns or queries you may have with the PPA. On top of the formalities, we aim to deliver fun, competitive days racing and a warm point-to-pointing community.

Strengthen the voice of grassroots pointing
The PPORA has a network of area representatives and is a 25% shareholder in the PPA (Point-to-Point Authority) along with the PPSA & MFHA. With this comes a seat on the PPA board, which gives us a voice in the running & future of the sport. We can address queries or issues you have to the PPA and get you an answer, acting as your representative.
eligibility for PPORA races
As an owner or rider, you will be eligible for the 60+ PPORA Club Members' Conditions Races held a season across the country. The rider and at least ONE named owner of the horse must be a member of the PPORA to be eligible to run in PPORA races.

strengthening pointing's future
We work with the Point-to-Point Authority to offer a range of rider skill development opportunities, including Jockey Coaching & Course Walks and we also offer all first-season riders free PPORA membership!
COMMUNICATION
The PPORA holds an annual forum, where we invite “key industry figures” to answer questions from Members. Talk to your committee reps throughout the year and join in the Member's Forum at our AGM. Having been unable to hold this for the last two seasons, we instigated a webinar where we review the last season & look forward to next.

PPORA AWARDS
The season consists of a programme of PPORA Club Members' Races and Awards. Combining tradition with innovation, all designed to showcase our sport, its people & horses, as the excitement builds towards our end-of-season finale! These races & awards are exclusive to PPORA members & winners are awarded prizes. These will be give at the PPA National Awards 2024. ​
